Welcome Sunday School Family!

As we begin Thanksgiving week we want you all to know that we are thankful to God for you and all each of you bring to our Sunday School experience every week!

This coming Sunday, November 30,  is the first Sunday in Advent!  What an exciting time as we prepare for the birth of our Savior, Jesus at Christmas!  This year we have a new and special experience to walk our way through Advent.  At children's time during the 9:00 AM worship we will introduce the Jesse tree in the front of church.  The Jesse Tree helps us bring together the Bible stories leading  to Jesus' birth with the tradition of decorating a Christmas tree.  The Jesse tree is named from the Isaiah 11:1  "A shoot shall come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch grow out of his roots".  Jesse is the father of King David and Jesus was born into the family line of King David.  

During class this week, we will be learning some Bible stories and making ornaments to hang on the tree.  Each week we will add more ornaments after our Sunday School class until we are fully decorated by Christmas.  We will have a handout of the Bible verses and stories related to the ornaments we decorate with that can be used with your families as devotion during Advent.
